I’m sure you’ll agree that the world is a pretty scary place at the moment. Whilst most of the world is in lockdown and in isolation, it can become lonely and anxiety can hit in….thankfully we live in a society where we can access technology to help connect us together. I remember growing up watching good old Bob Hoskins in the BT adverts saying one of his most iconic lines “It’s good to talk”.
With this in mind, Hound Effect wanted to share some free tools with you to help connect you with your family, friends and customers.
WatsApp – Free app on your mobile, can be used for video, voice and text messaging. This can be used on both Android and IOS devices.
Skype – Skype is another great video, voice and text messaging platform. There are over 1 billion Skype users across the globe. Skype can be downloaded as an app to use on your mobile device or you can use their standard desktop online version.
Apple FaceTime – Apple launched FaceTime in 2007 in a conference lead by the legendary Steve Jobs. Steve wanted to connect people all across the world and he pretty much achieved this. FaceTime is a video, audio messaging service. You don’t need to download anything, it’s already pre-installed on your Apple device.
Zoom – This is a Skype alternative, but essentially they do the same thing. Using Zoom you can hold video calls, chat, and host meetings or webinars with customers.
With all these communication tools, there’s no excuse why we can’t do as Bob Hoskins said: “It’s good to talk”.
